Full Return to school March 8th 2021

Dear Parents/Carers

I do hope you managed to spend some quality time with your family over half term and welcomed the news from the government regarding the return to school for the children. Hopefully we can now see some light at the end of the tunnel and we have already begun our plans to prepare for the return of all of our pupils.

As I am sure you appreciate, all of the staff have done a fabulous job looking after the children both in school and via our remote learning platforms. They have continued to provide a quality curriculum and in turn would like to pass on their thanks to you for all of your hard work and positive engagement from the pupils and yourselves.

As we now prepare for the full return of the pupils, there will be certain conditions we will need to adhere to. These will include staggered drop off and pick up arrangements and further information which can be viewed on the attached sheet. I do ask that all pupils arrive on time for their entry time to school. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate dropping off at the same time for siblings and so I ask for your patience and flexibility in dropping off and picking up your children at their designated time.

For your information, all of the children who have been working from home will spend some quality time with their teachers on their return to school. This time will be focused on helping them settle back into school and hopefully overcome any fears or anxieties. The first full week will be PSHE focused, working on friendships, developing resilience and ensuring all of the children feel happy and safe in school.

I would ask in return that you begin to prepare your child for their return to school by establishing proper bedtime routines and encouraging them to access their work each day. The return will be a huge change for so many and we all need to work together to make this transaction as smooth as possible.

We will continue to keep in touch with you via the school text/email service and Class Dojo and thank you for the many positive feedback comments we have already received regarding this communication gateway.

As ever, please get in touch if there is anything we can help you with.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing all of our amazing pupils on March 8th.

Yours sincerely

Mr Loughran
