Hello and welcome to Year 6B's class page.
I am Miss Barrow, one of two teachers in Year 6 this year. Whilst this is my second year teaching, I have been a part of the St. Michael's school family for around 4 years. What a wonderful, warm and caring school it is! I am looking forward to spending the upcoming year with such lovely children and am excited for all of the experiences ahead. Working with the children last half term has ensured that they have settled in extremely well. It has been a great first few days and I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many happy and smiley faces.
Year 6 is an exciting and challenging year. Mrs Ingram and I can't wait to plan lots of engaging lessons for the children to ensure that their last year in primary school is a year to remember. In St. Michael's, we strive to provide a safe, calm and nurturing learning environment for the children to succeed and achieve.
Within our classroom, we strive to develop 'can-do' learners. As we prepare for our SATS this year, we will also be focusing on ensuring that the children develop confidence, resilience, independence and are 'high school ready'. This means that the children will be academically, socially and emotionally prepared to transition to their next learning journey.
In Year 6, we have a great team that will support, encourage and celebrate our amazing children. We will be working closely with Mrs Ingram's class and are lucky enough to have Mrs Bebbington working with us as well. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or telephone and I will listen and help in any way that I can.
Thank you again for your continued support and for visiting our class page.
