Hello! I am Mrs Ingram. I have worked in St Michael's for many years now and believe it is a privilege to do so. It's a lovely, welcoming school and I'm looking forward to another year of exciting experiences! It has been truly amazing to get to know all of the children all over again and see how much they have grown. Working with the children last half term, has led to them settling into Year 6 quickly and I am extremely proud of them all.
Year 6 is an exciting year, as the children begin their final year of primary school. We aim to develop a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn and achieve their full potential. The children will prepare for their SATS, but will also work on becoming ‘high school ready’. This ensures that the children are not only academically ready, but also socially and emotionally ready to begin their journey at high school.
In year 6, we aim to create a classroom where a 'can-do' attitude is at the centre of everything we do. We aim to develop confident, resilient learners and work hard to develop the independence needed in high school. We aim to create a positive and encouraging environment where we support and look after one another.
We aim to create a fun, but challenging curriculum. This year we will be learning many new things. We will be starting our learning journey by learning all about our school and local area, before moving on to the wider world.
We will be working closely with Miss Barrow’s Year 6 class and are lucky enough to have Mrs Bebbington supporting us too.
