Year 5B - Mrs Brown

Welcome to Year 5!

I am Mrs Brown. I am so privileged to be working as a member of the Year 5 team again this year, in our forward thinking and innovative school. I am so excited for our year together.

Year 5 is such an exciting year as children journey into upper key stage 2 and prepare for Year 6. The children have made such a fantastic start to the new term and have adapted amazingly well to the new routines in place; the level of maturity they have demonstrated has made me extremely proud to be their teacher.

In Year 5, Mrs Pendleton, Miss Jones and I work very closely together to develop a positive, supportive and nurturing environment for the children to reach their full potential. We ensure that the children are nurtured to allow them to flourish into confident, resilient learners. We work hard to create a stimulating and exciting learning environment-with many opportunities for experiential learning and having fun!   I have no doubt that the children will work hard, relish the challenge and apply themselves fully to all areas of the curriculum.

For those at home, our class web page will be updated regularly to keep you up to date with our adventures!  However, should you require any advice or assistance please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your continued support.

Meet Year 5B

We have had a fantastic first few weeks in Year 5B!

Perfecting our dribbling skills this week in PE.

Looking After Our Wellbeing

The children thoroughly enjoy their wellbeing sessions with Progressive Sports.  They take part in sessions each week this half term, which promote positive wellbeing.

The programme is specifically designed to develop their resilience, problem solving and team work skills whilst promoting a positive growth mind-set.  The enthusiasm they display is outstanding- they fully immerse themselves and are willing to challenge themselves throughout the sessions. Keep up the good work Year 5B!
