Year 1 - Miss Smith

Hello and welcome to Year 1.

I am Miss Smith and this is my 8^th year of teaching at this wonderful school. I have been the Reception teacher for many years and I am delighted to have been given this exciting opportunity of moving up to Year 1 with my previous class and providing them with a smooth and enjoyable transition.

We are lucky enough to have Mrs Taylor working in our classroom with us again this year too! We will both be working very closely to ensure that all of the children feel safe and supported this year and that they are given new and exciting learning experiences to help them flourish and grow.

We are very fortunate in Year 1 as we have TWO classrooms! One classroom is set up for formalised learning and the other is set up for ‘Super Learning’. ‘Super Learning’ is where the children will learn through completing independent challenges linked to their formalised learning, to extend and embed their knowledge and understanding.
