Message from the Headteacher:

On behalf of all pupils, staff and Governors, may I offer you a warm welcome to our school.

I am extremely proud and feel privileged to be the Headteacher of St Michael’s. All of our staff are committed, dedicated and continuously strive to provide the very best education for each and every one of our pupils. We value everybody’s individual uniqueness, talents and abilities and ensure all of our learners aspire to reach their full potential.

We work extremely hard to engage with all of our parents/carers and have strong positive links with the local community. Working in partnership with home and school, I believe is the most effective way to provide all of our children with the quality of education they deserve.

Every child receives a very wide range of engaging and challenging learning opportunities both inside and outside of school. We pride ourselves on providing unique educational experiences that are new to many of the children, including residential experiences for all of our KS2 children.

I am also very aware of the importance of looking after and developing the children’s physical and mental health. At St Michael’s we proactively nurture, encourage and develop the uniqueness of every child through our outstanding pastoral program.

As a Catholic school, we endeavour to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and as our mission statement says ‘we provide an inclusive environment where everybody is encouraged to reach their full potential’. We ask for the support of all in teaching our Catholic faith at home and school by treating each other as you, yourself would like to be treated.
