Year 3K - Miss Karalius

Hello! My name is Miss Karalius and I have the pleasure of teaching in our Year 2 team alongside Mrs Boardman. Mrs Shelley will work with us during this exciting year.

In Year 2 we become really independent learners. The children develop a 'can-do' attitude in a positive and encouraging environment. The curriculum is challenging and exciting, providing the children with as many positive learning experiences as possible. In Year 2, we explore the geography of the outdoor school environment, take part in Forest School sessions each Friday, visit a café and design, make and evaluate our own sandwiches plus visits in the local community including the local library.

The children are all becoming enthusiastic readers and to ensure that they continue to make the best progress possible, it is vital for them to read at home each night along with being heard read whilst in school.

Should you have any questions about teaching and learning in Year 2, or any worries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Your support is very much appreciated as we continue on our learning journey together.

Enjoying music lessons with Mr Delaney!

Our visit to the library.

We have been very busy in our ICT lessons this term. We have recorded data and presented data as bar charts, pie charts and created line graphs. We sequenced the story of Little Red Riding Hood and then used paint, microphones and text to narrate our version of the story.

Mixing Primary Colours in Art!

In PE, we have developed our skills in attacking and defending through games. We travelled with the ball in different ways and worked together as a team.

In our gymnastics lessons, we have developed our core skills and used a variety of equipment including hoops and ribbons! We have really enjoyed working with Mrs Popova.
