St Michael's is a Catholic School under the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. It is maintained by Halton Council. As a Voluntary Aided School, the Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for taking decisions on applications for admissions. The Governing Body has set its admissions number at 30.

Admission applications for places in Reception 2020 will be open from 9th September 2019 through Halton Borough Council admissions portal. The deadline for applications is 15th January 2020.
Applications for school places in other year groups should be made directly through the school office. Restrictions apply to the number of pupils in each year group and therefore places are offered subject to availability. Should there not be a place in the year group you are seeking you will be placed on a waiting list.
