Hello, my name is Miss Christie and I am super excited to be teaching Year 4 this year! I started teaching at St Michael’s in 2016, and have taught in Year 6 for the past three years. Before teaching in St Michael’s, I taught in a school in Liverpool for a further 5 years. I am the Art and History coordinator across our school. I love getting my hands dirty and can’t wait to get creative this year! My passion is to read, I love to get lost in a magical book and share stories with those around me. After transition day last year, I am so excited for my new class, I have taught lots of brothers and sisters in my previous Year 6 classes, and can’t wait to get to know my next lovely bunch!
This year in Year 4, I will be working alongside Mr Borelan. We will be working hard to ensure that we deliver a creative and fun learning environment for the children in our year group. We aim to develop the children’s independence and resilience as they move further up KS2. I do hold high expectations of the children in my class and ask that they simply try their best each and every lesson.
I look forward to updating our class page with the exciting learning that is taking place in Year 4 throughout the year. I am always here to listen to any queries or concerns from both adults and children, please don’t hesitate to ask.
We have raided the library and found some of our favourite books!
We explored the names and functions of the different teeth we have and made models out of clay!
