  • Year 6 Acts of Kindness

Tue 29 Jan 2019 Mr Loughran

We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 children who have worked tirelessly over the past few months to complete their Mayor's Award.

From volunteering to wonderful community acts of kindness, litter picking and sporting events, the children have shown so many skills and a huge amount of dedication.

Well done to you all, we are very proud of you.

  • SAPERE Bronze School Award received

Fri 18 Jan 2019 Mr Loughran

We are extremely proud to have received the SAPERE Bronze School Award in recognition of our commitment to the Philosophy for Children (P4C) pedagogy. This celebrates our progress in establishing high quality P4C.

Philosophy for children is a powerful  approach to learning and teaching that boosts children's reasoning, social skills and overall attainment. Children are taught how to create their own philosophical questions and the training improves not only outcomes for children educationally but also  their confidence, patience and self-esteem.

  • National School Breakfast Programme

Mon 14 Jan 2019 Mr Loughran

We are delighted to have launched our Magic Breakfast this January to ensure all children have a healthy start to the day. Our breakfast monitors are delivering fresh healthy bagels to every class and next week each class of children will be having a week of breakfasts in the hall with a choice of cereals.

We hope that this, along with our Daily Mile, will further help our children prepare for the day ahead and give them a healthy boost to start the day!
