We pride ourselves at St Michael's on the huge variety of visitors and educational trips we offer to the children to run alongside our curriculum and enhance their learning. It's important to take a moment to see exactly what the children have experienced in November alone:
Music and Movement sessions for Year 1
Movie Nights in school for Years 1-6
Whole class visits to the local library
African drumming lessons for Year 5
Forest school sessions for YR and Y2
Gymnastics lessons from a national coach
Health improvement sessions for Year 6
Girls Football match at Wade Deacon
Year 5 residential to PGL
Table tennis tournament
Football matches against local schools
Year 4 hosted remembrance afternoon tea with Royal British Legion
Anti bullying drama performance and workshop
Swimming lessons
Peer massage sessions taught by an external specialist
Fire service visit to Year 5
Futsal competition at Saints Peter and Paul
Year 6 retreat day at Lowe House Church
Non uniform fundraising day
Travelling crib launch assembly
Regular P4C sessions with our external consultant and in class
plus extra curricular clubs for: choir, table tennis, football, rugby and writers!!!
That's quite incredible in 1 month alone. We receive many positive comments from parents about the opportunities the children have and we will continue to work hard to provide every single pupil with an excellent school experience. We want our children to grow to be independent learners and valued young adults to be proud of and with the continued support of our families we will continue to achieve this!
