Dear Parent/ Carer

Welcome to Year 6! I can’t quite believe we are starting another school year. It has been lovely getting to know the children this week and helping them settle into their final year of primary school. It has also been nice to welcome some new children to the class- all the children have had a great week and are ready to begin the year ahead! 

I am looking forward to continuing my teaching in Year 6 this year; there are lots of exciting days and experiences planned for the year, and I know the children will have a great time! I particularly can’t wait to have lots of fun on our residential in the summer term. 

I believe that hard work leads to success, and I am happy when I can see that children are trying their best in my class. Year 6 can be a challenging year when preparing for SATS and secondary school, however I have no doubt that the children will thrive throughout the year and embrace the challenges and new responsibilities that come their way. 

Everyone here at St Michael’s wants the best for your child, and I believe working together as a team can is the best approach to keep all children happy at school. I am always happy to help with any queries big or small, so please do not hesitate to ask if you require any more information.
