Applications for Reception class 2026 is now open
Applications can be made by accessing the following link.

Forms can also be obtained by emailing schooladmissions@halton.gov.uk.
The deadline for applications is 15th January 2026. Submitting a late application is likely to reduce your chances of being offered a place at your preferred school.
St Michael's is a Catholic School under the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. It is maintained by Halton Council. As a Voluntary Aided School, the Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for taking decisions on applications for admissions. The Governing Body has set its admissions number at 30.

Applications for school places in other year groups should be made directly through the school office. Restrictions apply to the number of pupils in each year group and therefore places are offered subject to availability. Should there not be a place in the year group you are seeking, you will be placed on a waiting list

Admissions Policy Consultation 2027
To Whom it may concern
As the admission authority for St Michael’s Catholic Primary and Nursery school, the Governing Body wish to consult with you on our admission arrangements for 2027 This is because you may have an interest in the proposed admissions.
Consultation must last for a minimum of 6 weeks and must take place between 1 October and 31 January in the determination year. The consultation period for this policy is from 10/11/2025 to 22/12/2025
