Year 6H Miss Hawley

Hello, my name is Miss Hawley and I would like to welcome you to Year 6H for a new school year!

It has been wonderful seeing the children's engagement as they begin their Year 6 journey. I am really looking forward to witnessing each child's progress, growth and development as the year goes on. The children and I are very lucky to have Miss Hanrahan working with us this year.

We always aim to create a secure, happy yet challenging environment to enable the children to achieve their full potential whilst increasing their confidence, independence and eagerness to learn. I am excited for the children to experience the array of learning opportunities we have planned for this year.

I look forward to working closely with you as parents/carers, as this will enable your child to flourish and make greater progress.

We aim to encourage children to develop a love for reading. Reading is one of the most important skills your child can develop. Daily reading helps to build vocabulary, improve comprehension and foster a lifelong love of learning. Children are expected to read at home each night. Please support and encourage your child to do this as reading has such a significant impact on their learning and development.

PE days will be on a Tuesday for this half term and homework will be given out every Friday to be completed for the following Friday.

If you are worried about anything, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

Miss Hawley
