Year 6L Mrs Lawson
Dear Parent/ Carer
My name is Mrs Lawson. I have been teaching at St Michael’s for 9 years and have taught across Key Stage 2.
I love reading and have organised lots of reading events at our school over the years; I can’t wait to meet more authors and story tellers and continue to spread the love of reading across the school.
I love to teach Art and Design and enjoy including lots of crafts in my lessons. I am looking forward to teaching Year 6 this year and can’t wait to have lots of fun on our residential.
I believe that hard work leads to success, and I am happy when I can see that children are trying their best in my class. Year 6 can be a challenging year when preparing for SATS and secondary school, however I have no doubt that the children will thrive throughout the year and embrace the challenges and new responsibilities that come their way.
PE days will be on a Tuesday for this half term and homework will be given out every Friday, to be completed for the following Friday. Children need to read each night and have an adult log this on the Boom Reader app.
I am so excited to see what is in store for the rest of this year! I am always happy to help so please do not hesitate to ask if you require any more information 😊
Kind regards
Mrs Lawson
