Year 4 Mrs Boardman

Hello! My name is Mrs Boardman and I have the pleasure of teaching our super bunch of children in Year 4. We are so lucky to be supported by Mrs Taylor who will be our teaching assistant this year. It is lovely for us both to be reunited with these children again after having taught most of them previously in Year 1.

I am especially passionate about teaching this age group and I am very excited to be teaching back in Year 4 after a few years in Key Stage One. I love the excitement, energy and enthusiasm along with the developing independence that this age group has. There is always a lovely ‘buzz’ working in the Year 4 classroom environment. We will always work hard to ensure that children are supported in their learning, providing fun new learning experiences which will allow them to flourish and achieve their expectations and beyond. I can’t wait to see all that we will achieve together this year and look forward to the year ahead!

 Dates for your diary:

Year 4 have Forest School lessons every Friday during the first half term. PE lessons will be on Thursdays. Please can children wear their PE kit or Forest School clothes on these days. We also have weekly guitar lessons each Tuesday. Guitars are provided by the school but if a child has one at home, they are welcome to bring it in.

Our class assembly will be in summer term on 18th May. All parents and carers are welcome to attend.

Should you have any questions about teaching and learning in Year 4, or any worries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Your support is very much appreciated as we continue our learning journey together.
