Our classroom is exciting and engaging full of lots of different areas to promote many learning opportunities for all of our children. Our areas include a home corner, a cosy reading area, a writing area, an investigative water area, a cutty sticky area to get creative in, a number area for challenges and games, a construction and small world area and a malleable area.
We have recently re-vamped our outdoor area which our children love to spend time in. We believe that learning outdoors is very important for early development and allows children to develop their skills on a larger scale. Outdoor play extends children’s learning by providing them with opportunities to explore and investigate the outside environment. Our areas outside include a reading hut, a number hut, a writing/mark making area, a large cutty sticky area, a messy mud kitchen area, a water area, a large construction area, an outdoor role play hut, a small world area, a sand and digging area and a games area all offering a larger scale than indoors.
During your child’s time in our Foundation Unit, they will be taught from the EYFS Framework where they will be learning through playing and exploring, being active and through creative and critical thinking which will take place both indoors and outdoors. Your child will be learning skills, acquiring new knowledge and demonstrating their understanding through 7 areas of learning and development.
